Early NBA MVP Race: SGA, Jokic, Luka or…?

Who’s leading the way-too-early NBA MVP race right now? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is cooking defenses, Nikola Jokić is dropping video-game statlines, Luka Dončić is unstoppable, or is there anyone else who’s able to snatch the prestigious award? The NBA season is only 5 weeks in, but the MVP hype train is already rolling.

  1. SGA 20-1 🎉 How bout the rest of em!? 😂 OKC all day! And SGA been closing games out on mfkas so don't start with the "it's the team" shit 😂 SGA consistent, the others aren't. 😮👎

  2. Cade before Wemby for sure. Jokic is the MVP and it isn’t close, as usual. But as usual the media is trying to manipulate and fabricate an MVP for Shai out of thin air. They’re literally robbing Jokic of his rightful legacy, right in front of our faces.

  3. People don’t realize jokic is a center not rim protecting one bit… imagine a world where giannis saves energy on defence

  4. Is this a race? Jokic scoring a 30 point triple double on peak efficiency is unrivaled.

  5. Give me the player that can elevate his team to win the most, while consistently scoring 30+ and about to break the record for 20+, yes stats are easily Jokic or Luka, but they can’t win like Shai

  6. I love Luka, but he's a freethrow merchant. If referees gave to Jokic half o the calls they give to average nba players he'd be scoring 40 on average.

  7. Should’ve showed shai falling over dramatically and not even trying to make the shot through contact 😂

  8. People arguing about seeding with 20 games played on a season on a pretty much tied up 2nd to 6th spots on the western conference is something else

  9. statistic wise its jokic. but about what about actual impact on the game, defense, popularity, flair, etc etc. at the end of the day, MVP is about popularity because it is determined by vote.
