  1. What has 12 teeth 18 legs an IQ of 45? The nine players pushing each other while a player is down on the ice only a metre away.

  2. Complete DISREGARD for the RULEBOOK!
Play was whistled dead and no penalty was called. There was no justification to have a video review. If a major is called on the ice, a goal is scored, or if there are clock errors there can be a video review, but no major called. The whistle was not blown for any called penalty. There was no reason to justify a video review. The NHL keeps getting harder and harder to watch as they transition from a legitimate sport to pro-wrestling styled entertainment.

  3. The Blues announcers bring up an excellent point. Neither referee made an initial call on the play. Then, they just decide to make a call so they can go to review to see if there was actually a penalty, and then they slapped Torps with a 5 minute major and a game misconduct. To me, that's not what the review process is supposed to be about, and I'm not a big fan of conferencing with the linesmen to see if they saw anything.

  4. An interesting revelation about this particular play is that despite Cooley’s over the top writhing in pain like his entire knee had been shattered or shredded, it turns out the Extent of Cooley’s actual injury from this play is a simple contusion which is a fancy way of saying that Cooley got a bruise. That is quite the theatrical reaction from Cooley who plays a sport where guys are supposed to be tough, yet getting a bruise is enough render him incapacitated. I mean Steve Yzerman won a Conne Smythe leading the playoffs in scoring with a broken leg and if I were Cooley I’d be embarrassed by the precedent that’s being sent by reacting so dramatically to a bruise in a sport that prides itself on toughness.

  5. He's dragging the inside edge of that stake blade to either leave the leg out there or because he learned to skate last week.

  6. Doesn’t matter if it was a good hit or not. There was no whistle so there is nothing to review. That’s how the rules work. The refs don’t get a do-over cause they think they missed something.

  7. Incidental contact like he said, play doe soft reactionary call based on the fact there was an injury. That's not how penalties are supposed to be called. There was literally no penalty initially, and it was all just a pity call. That's lame and gay.

  8. parents, this is a prime example to teach your kids of why they need to brace for taking a hit
