  1. I'm wondering if a sign and trade would get a bigger haul. If teams have certainty going forward with him, then they may be more likely to offer more in a trade. As a rental, he may not be worth a lot. Maybe a 3rd round pick or a C+ prospect. But if they had that cost certainty, teams might be willing to offer something more substantial. That's why moving Hughes sooner than later makes more sense because teams would have him at his low cap hit for 2 playoff runs instead of 1.

  2. My opinion if you can’t get a first rounder for Kiefer Sherwood, you wait until the trade deadline when teams will pay

  3. No offense to Lekkerimaki, he's no Sherwood, and never will be imo. I do like Hoglander a lot though. Unless they build with skill, augmented with bigger and meaner, they'll always be in tough come playoff time.

  4. He is a 3rd or 4th liner for Petey's sake! He is worth 2-4 m million a year for the rest of his career unless he evolves further.
The trade piece to shop around is Hughes because you can get Knies and # 44 from Toronto in that deal.

  5. If Hughes is an actual winner he leaves. If he’s a loser, he stays. All Canucks can offer him is a retired jersey, and he will end up being like the Sedins : an amazing regular season player.

  6. Garland and Sherwood have low overall league market value. You took 2 , 3rd liners and playing them higher in the lineup, hence the more pts. Nobody will want Garland without us retaining cash , Sherwood is cheap, today, but teams know he won’t be next year.

  7. We are going to win more, get healthier, its only Thanksgiving. We aren't selling yet. Scare tactic and we aren't punting. Fans are scared

  8. No sane GM would give anything close to a 1st for Sherwood, 30 yr old pending ufa with 1.5 season outlier production. The only team dumb enough to do that is the Canucks, and they cant sell to themselves lol.
