I mean the pens need him to carry the load still, so I could see his shooting percentage staying high, and the pens PowerPlay on top of that is number 1 in the league so he very well could hit 50
It is unsustainable, but Sid is getting a lot of goals in close and never has been a player to take a lot of lower percentage shots so ending the season near 20% would not be at all unrealistic. I figure he finishes with somewhere near 40 goals.
I still maintain, as great as Ovi is, Sid doesnāt have peers in his era. Heās simply better than anyone around him ever thought about being.

Sidās definitely a playmaker and puts team above self. He will try to get it to teammates who havenāt scored in a while and to get it to whoever has the best shot. Sometimes frustratingly so for those watching. If he focused on scoring more, heād rack up even more numbersā¦ like he did last night in Philly. But thatās not how he plays, heās focusing on captaining his team and giving his team their best chance.
Oviās goal scoring, especially in the last few years, has been parking in his wheelhouse//the circle to the right of the goaltender waiting for his team to get him the puck, more often than making plays. And his team worked HARD the last couple seasons to get HIM the puck to rack up numbers over shooting it themselves. It became a team effort to get Ovi to his record, whereas Sidās effort is for the team.

I'd love to see Crosby stay healthy, play another 4 years and get to 2,000 points.
If any player can score 50 goals at 38 years of age,itās Sydney Crosby.
Sid seems to be the new Jagr. He will find a way to play until he's ready to stop and keep producing.
He's the most complete player ever. He's currently tops in career for face-off wins with over 15,900 FOWs. 800 more than the next player, Patrice Bergeron.
Sid is the definition of a guy who plays with nothing but heart and dedication. The league will be worse without him in it.
he is doing great without rackell ! no other player could lose a linemate of the caliber of rackell and still produce like he has !
He tallied 2 more against philly… on pace for 59 now š®
