Josh Norris dominates in return to the Buffalo Sabres lineup against the Winnipeg Jets

Josh Norris made his return to the Buffalo Sabres lineup against the Winnipeg Jets and put on a show with two goals and an assist, including a sick breakaway goal. Norris’ return was a display of what the Sabres could be getting in their highest paid forward, IF he stays healthy going forward. The Zach Benson – Josh Norris – Tage Thompson line played exactly the way Lindy Ruff had been envisioning when he put them together in the preseason. Norris and Tage are the perfect partners for Benson on a line, making it less important that he has an ability to shoot the puck.

Plus, a solid game from Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, another strong performance from Noah Ostlund, and Alex Tuch is putting up some great numbers, better than a lot of elite players in the NHL this season. How many points would you take on the Sabres upcoming road trip that begins in Philadelphia?

  1. I'd rather find someone who wants UPL. Its just going to take a LOT for me to have confidence in him again.

  2. Wow ,we got a real #9 great. Game Mr.Norris finally get to see. The return to almost get a hatty first game back ,Wow!!

  3. Let's be honest honest Comrie was less than stellar" since Norris is injury prone I would not play him w Benson or Tage one is still growing the other is soft. Tage should be centering Tuch & Doan as his wingers. Norris needs a physical winger(Greenway) & skill Zucker. Quinn on 3rd line. Your paying Greenway & Krebs too much to be 4th liners. Also paying Powers too much to be 3rd pairing D man. Playing head games with UPL, he's a 1a/b starter Tuch on 3rd line w rookie center. Are you getting me! If you feel he's not a top 6 player then trade him What a joke

  4. Really pleased with Norris's play yesterday but it is only one game. UPL played well. A positive team effort, 2 wins in a row, dont blow this road trip!

  5. Sabres owned this game, Hellebuyck or no Hellebuyck. They were flying EVERYWHERE.

Comrie's goals against were a PK D breakdown on the doorstep, Byrum walking right in with an uncontested laser snipe, and the 3rd goal was knocked IN by the defenseman. It was like Owen Power dressed in a jet jersey last night.

  6. Benson literally plays like he's 6' 6", 226 lbs… then we have Owen Power who is actually 6' 6", 226 lbs and plays half his size.

  7. What about Rosen???? Doesn’t he have like 7pts in 11 games? Something like that…..

    That’s promising as hell

  8. So if that's your opinion of Byrum, I can't imagine what you think about Power. Cuz there ain't nobody softer and worse in the league at the D position
