who remembers when this team had no captain at all for quite a long time? Larkin was on the team then. The media went on a big promo campaign basically trying to convince the fan base he was leadership material. Just that alone shows they knew he wasn't the guy to begin with
Move Danielson up to 2C and put Kasper back on the first line wing where he had success just to build some confidence. Yes Finnie has been great there, but his game would be effective on other lines for the sake of getting Kasper going. Don't understand why Copp is in the top 6 when he is a bottom 6 player.
Is it just me or do Mo and rayzor have a lot of questionable plays. Rayzor hogs the puck and seems to force passes when he is open for shots and Mo has two or three plays a game that either lead to goals against or huge chances
Seider saying "we don't need a fighter" after he just got his ass kicked by somebody who actually knew how to fight is comical. The very reason we need tough guys is so that our star players don't get bullied/pushed around.
The nucleus behind any good team is Toughness. It's what allows the finesse guys to shine without being targeted for injury. I hate how modern hockey completely overlooks these facts.
Also, great goaltending is the backbone behind any great team. Why is the goaltender position being looked at as secondary now?!?!
You know what this team needs? A solid 2-way forward that prioritizes defense. Sure he only scores 8 goals in a year, but he's only on the ice for 20 goals against.
No guys jumping in to defend Mo from that 5th line scrub. Respect to him for hanging in there. But, he shouldn’t have to do that. Good teams don’t let that happen to their best players. Get more Canadians on this roster.

Every year under Yzerman it’s the same old same old the wings get pushed around l, cheap shotted and beat up especially when the refs stop calling penalty’s in February and March. Are you kidding me. Watching the wings get pushed around and beat up SUCKS. Fans are sick of not having a fighter I hear it from everybody
Funny how contracts are up on some players who are deciding to pick up there play,kinda insulting that your gonna start at the end of your contract to play or hustle

You can’t can not win 50/50 battles done over with, stop board battles. Your much better to slap puck to bounce off boards into mid ice then to wrap it around,try wining 5 straight 50/50 battles stop board fight for puck when you already have it
1. All new defensemen. Seider. Trash. Chariot trash. Johanson mega trash. 2. A good goalie 3. Switch up the same ol power play system. It doesn’t work anymore.

They don’t necessarily need a fighter like a Reaves but they desperately need more abrasive forwards that can score a bit in their bottom 6.

So we got rid of Mantha and Bertuzzi for basically Copp and Compher…..who we're paying a combined total of 11 million dollars for 5 goals in 26 games.
