I think Rantanen has a higher hockey I.Q. it showed when he played here in Colorado. Speed is good, but skill like Rantanen's is invaluable. That's what made our lines dangerous. My humble opinion.
I'd have to disagree that Necas is better than Mikko. Both are great players but Mikko still has more points this season. You might have a be right since the trade itself, but Carolina was just an awful fit for Mikko, their style totally negated his strongest points.
When it comes to the playoffs though, Necas isn't even in the same league as Mikko.

I am a big fan of both of them but Rantanen is currently a better player than Necas. I think they both have a similar ceiling but right now Mikko is the best player in his club, Necas is not.

It was very sad to lose Mikko, and his place in team was very special. And both of them are very specific players, Marty also found his place and turned chemistry with Nate on another level. I like both of them, real stars and future legends 💪💪💪

Also Nečas performed in Carolina , Rantalentless joined left there after a few games, to join Dallas which was already a SC contender team all along. Also Nečas is just a nice guy.
