  1. The reality is, this is an ownership problem, not a management problem. If Arthur Griffiths owned the team, this wouldn't be happening. He actually cared about the team and the fans.

  2. Inexperience on the blueline while Mancini is sitting in abbotsford, not buying that arguement! Not enough depth on this team, management isnt doing a decent job on finding impact players.

  3. Its impossible for the Canucks to move assets other Than Hughes. Is he just going to continue to play for the team is the dumped everyone around him?

  4. They are a non playoff team lets be real…. they have 20 points, lets for math sake say 92 gets in playoffs.. they need 72 points out of the next 59 games. Thats essentially going 34-21-4 or some similar record to that in the next 59… possible sure. Likely no.

  5. Hughes can be traded to Maple Leafs for Knies and #44. It is the best deal in the league and best move for both clubs. You heard it from me first.
It should happen. It would replace Hughes easily.

  6. I don’t understand why you guys are acting surprised about some of the Canucks injuries?

I was nervous before the season started that Demko and Chytil.

Demko is a great backup goalie. He can barely play 30 games a season without getting hurt.

    Chytil is prone to concussions!!!
Management should’ve moved him in the off-season for anything.
Now the Canucks are stuck with a $4.4 million contract for two years.

Now the Canucks are stuck with both of those contracts. 8.5 million for Demko! Thats insane!! He’s a backup.

Chytil probably won’t play again! Why does this surprise you guys?!

The Canucks have no money to sign anyone.

And to top it off, if Hughes stays with the Canucks he’s going to get all the money. Probably $15 million a year.

The Canucks are a complete mess ! You guys are the experts! Stop being so surprised.

  7. I just don't get how you can promote an assistant to head coach who had a hand in the team's poor performance the year prior and who has no experience except a short stint in WHL (29 w /31 losses)? Yes, injuries can have an impact, but they have good goaltending and a good defensive core – their play without the puck is the worst in the league – that's coaching and ultimately on management who made the hire!

  8. Hockey is a business,Quin Hughes is smart enough to know that he can play on team USA with his brothers, but he wont be captain of the Devils should he want to go there. Thats an important fact. Canucks will match any offer thrown at him.

  9. Canucks had a decent center but we traded him away and brought in a loser for 1 million more. Our managers suck

  10. TO call and get Demko. Cup will be in TO. Seaso has still long way to go. Connor Garland on the wing TO would turn it up.
