The Blackhawks have been very good at scoring first all season, which also means they’ve squandered a lot of leads. So, I was pleasantly surprised that they made this comeback vs a pretty good team.
In my head I try to wonder if Kyle will offer Dicky a new contract. His heir replacement is most likely on the team, in Ryan Greene, but you have Sacha Boisvert who does not appear ready to step in.
Would a 2 year contract be out of the question?
With the emergence of Kantserov, Lardis being near automatics…I think Lafferty and Foligno as the farewell players.
Other offensive players that will look to Crack this lineup: Boisvert, Frondell, Spellacy.
I think Spellacy eyes the Slaggert spot. Slaggert is not a guarantee of being re-signed.
Dach is a free agent and I think they offer him a deal.
Frondell will eye Burakovsky's spot…and I certainly don't think he is at that level, yet…Will Burky re-sign? Not sure. Hope so.
Mikheyev…one of the best defensive forwards in the entire league.. nah…you re-sign him.
Is Korchinski ready to come up and take Grzelyck spot? Most likely. Allan and EDM will fight for the Murphy spot. But they will fight it out this year in Rockford.
One will be traded or let go, unless they have conceded to an AHL career.
So I predict for 2026
Lardis
Kantserov
Frondell
Korchinksi
EDM (or Allan)
Boisvert Needs at least 1 more year in college.
AJ Spellacy will go to Rockford.
Vanacker will transition to Rockford
Nestrasil stays at UMass 1 more year
Mustard stays in college
West will be at MSU
