The Pittsburgh Penguins are making some significant changes to their lineup ahead of their upcoming game against the Buffalo Sabres. In a series of transactions, the team is activating Tristan Jarry and Ville Koivunen from the injured reserve, with Jarry set to start in goal. Arturs Silovs will back him up.
To make room for these additions, the Penguins have re-assigned Sam Poulin to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Poulin, who spent a brief stint with the NHL club, didn’t meet the criteria for waivers. The team is also expected to demote goalie Sergei Murashov, who is waiver-exempt.
Jarry, known for his impressive saves, looks to make a strong comeback after a lower-body injury. Meanwhile, Bryan Rust is also set to return to the ice after missing practice days.
