It was good to see some depth guys jump in offensively when it was a relitively quiet night from the top line… if this were last year, we would lose when Sid had a quiet night.
Again graves is not good and needs to go. He is not physical at all, plays poor positionally, not good getting puck on boards, can’t shoot, pot luck on passes, offensively is a stationary player with little vision and overall game knowledge weak.
No dan. He was doing his job. He didn’t do anything special. That’s how sad we’ve become with jarry – we get excited when he wins a game and makes some stops -THATS WHAT HES PAID TO DO!!!!. Our mind set has become so mediocre with him this excites you. – jarry is still the average player he’s been his entire career – our team around him has just been better and the coaching. Muse is 100000x better than Sullivan
Hey DK, I agree….Jarry stole these points. The win was good, but I didn't see much in this game from the Penguins that say they can compete with the solid, deep, top teams for sixty minutes. Buffalo took them to the limit and Jarry held them off. I also think line one needs retooled, and that includes #17 despite his garbage goal tonight. But……why was Kindle out of the line up, load managing after perhaps the lightesy schedule ever over the last few weeks? Enough of the Novaks and Heinens, put Kindle with Droz and Koivenan, let the kids play. While there may be players with more experience, they aren't bringing that jump, euthusiam, or offense so why are they in there? Getting the two points last night was good but it just felt like, blah, so what?
100% that jarry stole at least 1 point. Those 2 point blank saves once the sabres goalie was pulled?? wow. Now if that 3rd line could gel. What about broz-kindel-koivunen as a 3rd line?
why do the pens refuse to put pucks on goal? How many PP opportunities have the pens had this year where they produced zero shots on goal during those 2 minutes of a man advantage?
I don't get to watch many games, but I caught this one and there were a few times a guy is in close to the side ready for a a one timer all by himself. I realize they don't play a man 2 man defense, but this happened too much and in other games as well.
They pretty much played the same as always. They just got the goaltending at the perfect timing. They really have to figure out how to close things out with authority. Aside from Sid, Geno, and Karl…Lizotte has to be the most impressive player on this entire team. Playing like a top 6 in the bottom 6. Just unbelievably visible out there. Great motor.
