  1. Marchment also threw a hit from behind on Nurse in the first period and Henrique immediately stepped up. I think alot of the frustration with Marchment this game stemmed from that hit aswell. Can't wait for next game 😁

  2. The problem is people are quick to blame Stu, but when both Pickard and Stu struggled, it's obvious there's more issues then goal tending, defense was lack luster on the bad games, they were on a 7 game road trip, didn't get to get much practice time like Eklom said.
With the practice they got they were able to work on things, and it shown, Stu finally did a type of move and save I wanted him to do more of, that slide pad move on the breakaway save.

  3. Man I wish I watched this game. Seemed very scrappy and fun. Excellent response to the Dallas game, but the question is if they can continue the strong play. Hopefully they do.

  4. At the game, Kraken fan (also Oilers fan), all accurate comments. Marchment is a punk, he and the Kraken were bullied all game. Best top-to-bottom game I've seen Oilers play this season. As much as I love him, I kept thinking: how good would Daccord look in an Oilers jersey? He needs a better team.

  5. I hate both of these teams but the Kraken looked sloppy tonight and the oilers took advantage of it

  6. I always defended Skinner because he's paid way cheaper than high paid goaltenders that can't get their teams into the playoffs. Most Oilers fans are constantly off and on the fence. Crybabies 😢cry 😢 😭

  7. It hasn't been all Stu's fault this year. I still want them to go out and grab Quick to backup, but Jarry and Binner are not upgrades over Stu

  8. I think 88 is too small . The 2 minutes 29 got, was worth it and #74———wow. You hate him, you love him, you love him,you hate him. I wish he was more consistent. This game was a treat.
Keep up the great work Austin.

  9. I love stu but am not convinced yet…

What has been the pattern this season? A good win, then bad losses. Literally the most inconsistent thing.

Even if they make the playoffs, Skinner isnt making them win. Stu is not a playoff starter… why?

Lets not forget the past years:
    2023 pulled against Vegas.
    2024 pulled againat vancouver
2025 pulled against LA after laughing in game 2

I cannot ignor his "good" performances at times but it doesn't outweigh his playoff inconsistency. NOBODY else is pulled this much.

Another reason is that both finals he got outgoalied by bobrovsky when it mattered most. 2024 game 7 sure Stu played well but Bob played better. Why doesn't he clutch up when it matters? And 2025 was worse… he was way worse than Bobrovsky. Oilers were not as good either but Skinner gave up bad goals too with bad rebound control and slow movement. How are you playing like that in a finals elimination game?

Sorry for my rant, I just DO NOT want the Oilers to have Stu be the playoff starter again. He has had 3 years to have a clutch post season when it matters and hasn't done it other than that game 6 against Dallas and a few in 2025 but nothing when the Oilers were against the wall.

  10. Great game. Great effort. Perfect goaltending. I think the noise in his ear affects his confidence. Hope this game helps boost his confidence.

  11. Professional performance all around. This includes meeting fans at the mall and professional media interviews for team under heat.

Game wise….Far better urgency. I feel like it won’t be a “huge win” that flips this season, it will be consistent performances like this to keep steering the ship back on the right course. Bring on the Wild !… LGO

  12. So after this, I’m going with leverage Stu’s performance for a trade, but lean towards keeping Stu as the backup, since, if you do have a working defence (which is possible with this roster), and you can limit turnovers/odd man rushes, you get great performances out of Stu. Lots of fun watching this one, let’s go Oilers!
