The Leaf’s GM adds bums to the Team in the off-season, picks up Blais on waivers then put him on waivers and now they’re looking at getting another older guy past his prime? Adding him would do what exactly…make others suddenly play with passion…shouldn’t the Captain do that? There is no reason for a fix…it’s time to overhaul Management and start a rebuild.
Boone Jenner ?? Definitely not. Right now, the Leafs are a team of misfits .. and none of them are gelling. Mathews is supposed to be the Leader, but as Captain .. he’s not cutting the mustard. He’s a damn good player but he’s not a Leader. Nylander is excellent.. when he shows up to play, which as of late isn’t often. Pretty sad when the Top Money players aren’t cutting it.
