  1. Shannon… The reason DeBrusk kept talking is no broadcaster wants fans to have another taste of hockey without the broadcasters.

For those that don't know… Quebec broadcasters (CBC) went on strike. While on strike they still aired the games. 1/2 of English Canada would tune into no broadcaster French game over the English broadcasters airing the same game.

  2. at what point does the Oilers GM get fired? he sits there for years not doing anything for the goaltending to help his team out and does nothing. how can the players have confidence in their management? at this point why try anymore if your manager isn't going to try?

  3. Imagine looking at Edmonton's goaltending and thinking, yeah, those are the guys we want in net. That's what Oilers management has been doing for the last 4 or 5 years.

  4. It's difficult to fairly rate a goalie when the team is not helping him at all. In my opinion, in the previous game against the Panthers all players seemed to be really engaged, being aggressive on the forecheck, fighting for pucks, etc. Whenever there was a loose puck near the crease after a rebound, all Oiler's players (not only D-men) fought fiercely to recover the puck immediately. As a result of this, Skinner's performance happened to be quite good. What would happen if the Oilers played all games with this spirit? I bet SV% would increase very quickly.

  5. Skinner isn't good but he isn't the reason why they're getting hammered by good teams. It's the awful defense play of the team in general, especially the two stars.

  6. Edmonton: has it, possibly, stopped playing? Way too early for this, I know, but… what is this?! I'm not even an Edmonton fan and even I'm panicking for them.

  7. I wouldn’t blame the goalies for that one. Every replay of goals you can see an oiler reaching with his stick because his feet were way behind the skater with the puck. The stars were rested and the oil weren’t. That being said, the stars played their best hockey, and they looked good. Maybe this is the year we finally beat the oil in the WCFs?….the 90s revenge tour must end sometime, hopefully
