@Montreal Canadiens

Captain Clutch..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Utah Mammoth! The Habs win this game by a score of 4-3, and even though there was quite a few positives.. They still got outshot and outworked for the majority of the game… Let’s break this one down! But how about that rookie, hey?

  1. I am a big fan of your channel (despite not being a sub) but I had to say, not a single team would throw the towel being down 1 goal on the road after having a goal refused 😂..

  2. Whenever you think our goalie is taking back his momentum….BOOM they put the other one in. Whatever, its a back to back so doesnt matter much but i would have played Dobes on Friday coz we might get those 2 points. No way we win on Saturday with either goalie…

  3. im not gonna lie Dobes has been clutch against good team so i would put monty friday and doby saturday against the Alvs

There's something BROKEN with the NHL Coach's Challenge system.
With the advent of immediate replays available on the bench, and in the replay department, wherever that is, a team can check to see if a zone entry was offside within a few SECONDS. Right?
    So,
Let's say you're short handed, and the other team enters the zone and the replay guys relay to the coach that it was offside. Or 99.9% CLOSE to it.
What that means is that the coach can let his team try to kill off their penalty without having to worry about being scored on.
If the PP expires then great.
If the PP scores, you challenge and wipe it off the board and start over.
That means the PP team is working to score, for absolutely NOTHING! Without knowing it.
At least the PK team can try to burn off the PP without worrying about being scored on after that first OFF-SIDE zone entry. (The coach doesn't have to worry)
Something is not right with this system.
There is going to have to be a way for the short-handed coach to signal that he "IS going to challenge" somehow.
To at least give the PP team a chance to reset somehow?
I don't know what the solution is. But I'm pretty sure this is an exploit.
    Any comments?

  5. And Demidov leads the rookies with barely 14 minutes per game. Schaefer gets 23 minutes. Incredible production from the young man!

  6. I think Dobes needs to wear a Baerskin hoodie under his jersey. Suggesting such because every time I watch one of your excellent videos, that ad pops up. 🙂

  7. It’s a joke that Monty is starting vs. Vegas. Dobes is getting us the wins this season when Monty is struggling to stop a beach ball! I get it, 2 games in two nights but sometimes a backup (Monty is our backup right now) needs to be thrown to the wolves, so in my opinion, Monty gets the game Saturday because in my eyes, Dobes plays against a struggling Golden Knights team, it gives you the best chance to win 1 of 2 in the back to back.

  8. While Carrier may not have played one of his most memorable games here , one does have to take into consideration that his newly paired team mate had played zero regular season NHL games. Engstrom is going to need some time (at least a few games) to adapt to the speed of an NHL game. So putting the blame solely on Carrier's shoulders for how that D-pairing performed , is just 'unfair'. And besides , Carrier when on to have over 20 min. of 'ice time' in that game. Go HABs.

  9. disagree, if you are a team hopping to make the playoffs legitimately, you have to put the goalie that's hot against the stronger teams . So I'd put dobie against the Avalanche. Putting your goalie that is not hot against a stronger team to your players looks like you've given up on those two points and that's bad for team confidence.

  10. Monty should start against Vegas. Sending him agasint Colorado tomorrow would be a death sentence. Better send Doby saturday.

  11. Habs will have a really tough game against the wagon of Avs but i want u to make a funny lighthearted video so hopefully they will beat them in regulation, which is a rarity for them 😀
