Nothing left for the Buffalo Sabres except firing the GM
The Buffalo Sabres were embarrassed at home with Terry Pegula in attendance by a score of 5-0 to the New Jersey Devils. A sellout KeyBank Center crowd was left to chant to “sell the team” and “fire Adams” as the team was getting routed. Despite severely outshooting New Jersey and having the better of the chances, Jake Allen outplayed Alex Lyon by a lot and the Sabres couldn’t get the goals they needed.
There is simply nothing left to do with this team other than Kevyn Adams getting fired. Everyone is playing the waiting game until that happens. Could be weeks. Could be months. Could be years. Will Pegula finally make the right move? Plus, is Lyon now out of the rotation? Is Colten Ellis the next in line to start in goal? And Tage Thompson stands up for himself.

SABRES DID not play well all outside shots no rebounds puck lying around in front of net all night plus Benson / Ostlund overpassing afraid to shoot no killer instinct to score lack of talent lack of scoring finesse
We have no superstar / too many passengers including Krebs/Power Benson / Ostlund/ offer little always invisible
All night odd man rushes against Sabres high danger chances quality shots quality goals Devils were toying with the Sabres even first period passing of Devils was poor had numerous chances to score more than 5 goals

Sabres sports media reporters need to be more objective non biased hold the coaches the players middle managemnt and ownership accountable accountable
I hate to tell you that even if they fire Adam’s they will go no where under the same ownership. They have one nothing with that owner!

Never saw a team turn it around after firing a GM… coaching change yes.. never a GM. Sadly it sets the team bck a few years. Adams only fault… he gets too attached to some players… don't expect it to make a difference.. it won't.. just make you feel better for a month or two.. but when the team still under performs.. you'll be right back where you are. frankly, one of the biggest issues is that the star players no longer get to UFA status. It's harder than ever to acquire elite talent. And one player won't put you over the top… you need 3-4 to really get there..
I will still take Bo over Power all day and everyday. Power is becoming more and more useless.
Terry does not have a problem with the product. Tax write offs are important for this owner.

Not throwing in the towel… I put Jersey as one of the toughest opponents they have. Top 5. Maybe top 3. Probably top 3 maybe along with Col and TB. I think they can beat any other team although NYI and PIT are better than expected 👍 🏒 💯 MIN will be tough, but winnable.

Also, I'm getting a bit exhausted of the analytics crap of "expected this, expected that, deserve to win this." They don't win. Whatever the analytic. They just are not a good hockey team and they play 'watch the puck' instead of actively engaging with the play.

Adams probably won't be fired until after the team plays a few games with Norris in the lineup. I doubt Norris makes a huge difference (if he even stays healthy), but he was Adams' "big" acquisition that has played very little to this point.
Byram is the worst defensive d-man in the NHL, At least on this team. Power gets so much deserved crap but Byram is so careless with the puck.

You lose back to back to the Penguins and Devils. Pretty much kills all the momentum you created for a push up the standings. I'm sick of moral victories and how we play well in certain periods. Then you get shutout on your own ice? This franchise no matter what talent you have is diseased with a shitty owner and GM. Plain and simple.
