habs are currently quite dependent on Suzuki being healthy (if he's injured, we are a lottery team), for that reason I'd keep the first round pick until playoff spot is secured.
I still hope we keep enough assets ro make a major push for another high end long term center such as Desnoyer, Dvorsky, etc (teams that may want defenceman, etc)
Id do that trade in a heart beat as a Habs fan.

Leafs tank, trade Nylander for Hage, Reinbacher & Fowler.
Habs do not need a 2C, they have a few already. The key is to hold on to 56 and 64 and move out 45 and 47, and figure out if 72 is also trade bait, because 11 min or less per night is not good for his development.
Habs have two goalies that are rebounding and will get them the wild card. Adding a player like Tage T or even Laine will just break the chemistry…they are not needed.
O’Reilly is too old. They have the assets in their system.
Find something more interesting to talk about, like how injuries and rehab are working for their warriors who are on the IR.
if Hage is a winger, that means that you'll have Caufield, Slaf, Demidov, Zadorvsky, and Hage as wingers. An overflow in your top 6. Nice problem to have but still no 2C.
For tage Thompson I would trade guhle, caufield and a number 1
