Tiny permanent wound channel from that LRX. It took 4 of them to kill a raghorn bull, all shots in the vitals, compared to 1 SST and 1 120 gr eld-m. The difference in permanent wound channels is massive.
Many folks are trading there crede for .308 s. There not killing game e them. ? Probably the wrong bullet I would use a 120/130 ish bullet I shoot a 6.5×55 and have no issues killing game along w 7 mm08
The projectile did what it was designed to do. The bullet does not know or care what the case design or shape looked like. Nothing magic about that particular chambering. 260, 6.5×55 would do the same. Bigger case capacity the same but slightly more dramatic.

Go to Garand Thumb ! A 17HMR does that too ! Here in Michigan Large Sporting Goods stores have stopped taking in 6.5 Creedmoor for trade ins !
