'What a Save' What a Spring. I still have a hole in my wall from game 4, when we went down 3-1. I knew we were better than being down 3-1. I didn't think they would come back from that deficit, against the best team in the league. Then, in round 2. They were down 3-2 in games, to the defending Cup champions. We sent that to 7 as well…
Many forget that game 7 would be the last game at the 'Igloo' because when that season ended, they were shutting the place down.
A building with much history, numerous Stanley Cup wins and the filming location for the incredible Action movie, with Van Damme, called…….'Sudden Death' if you like silly action spectacles, then check that one out. If you want to see one of the best jobs of shutting down Crosby and a Goalie shutting down the opposition, find game 7 on-line and watch the magic!!
P.S. Guess what the result of the first NHL game in that arena was? Montreal beat Pittsburgh, so the same teams opened and closed that building 43 or 44 years apart. CRAZY, JUST CRAZY COOL COINCIDENCE!!!
