Kiefer Sherwood is one of the most attractive available pieces on the trade market

“Kiefer Sherwood is the prize piece…his goal scoring ability, the physicality, and his cap hit. All 3 of those make him one of the most attractive available pieces in the trade market” #canucks

  1. This team is going nowhere. He's 30 years old. Why would we give him a big contract so we can keep floundering? I know this is an emotional issue for fans who think they know how to run a team even though they've never played pro hockey or coached it or managed a team. I haven't either. All I'm doing is using logic. When you're not winning, changes need to be made. And you don't give older players big contracts when you're not winning. That's what a team like the Panthers might do. Keep the band that had success together. Now, obviously 2011 has shown us that can be a huge problem, but in any case, fans need to stop falling in love with individual players who win nothing here and pretending they know "what this team needs" in terms of personnel or types of players.
