The Buffalo Sabres lost 4-2 to the Montreal Canadiens on October 20, 2025. Oliver Kapanen put Montreal on the board first and the Canadiens closed the first period with a 1-0 lead. Jiri Kulich tied it up for the Sabres early in the second with a backhanded goal. This was his second goal of the season. After two Montreal goals, Tyson Kozak scored in the third for his first goal of the season. Goaltender Alex Lyon made 30 saves in the matchup.

Poor Sabres lost again.
Disappointing outcome.Getting good goaltending so far,just can’t score enough goals consistently.If they can do that,it will be a fun & interesting season!
