The New York Rangers’ biggest problem last season was the poor defensive play, and that has completely changed this season. General Manager Chris Drury has absolutely made some questionable moves, but an area in which he’s made some great moves has clearly been the d-core. Gavrikov is a Ranger, not because of any genius from Drury, but because he wanted to play for the Rangers(Shesty influence?) & was not looking to break the bank. Ranger scouts loved Borgen & that was a good call. Seusser for a 3rd was actually a terrible move, not only because he's bad, but because his cap hit is outrageous. Drury's love for Parsinnen kept him around far to long & he should not have got a 2 year contract & should have been waived long ago. Sheary is another Sullivan/Drury mistake & he should have gone on waivers yesterday too. Drury was a Gorton mistake, but apparently Dolan loves him for reasons that defy logic. He has no people skills, created chaos in the organization & had no experience at all before his hiring, which was more of a cosmetic move than a competence based one. Oh, & signing Raddysh was another clinker. Rangers did not need another fourth liner.
Agree about improvement of defense, but my gosh can the defense and forwards get the puck out of their own end!!!!! This team goes nowhere with a third line with combo of Sheary raddysh on it. Wtf was shesry doing on 2nd power play unit? He is terrible. Big mistake on sullivans part keeping him in lineup. Berard , perrault or anyone else from hartford is an upgrade over sheary. Hard to watch team right now, struggle to get wins on sub par teams and cant compete with middle and upper tier teams. Gonna be a long year. Panarin should gone at deadline, thanks for nothin artemi( wanna help, take a cut). Zban not waiving and panarin being stubborn , screw both of them , selfish as hell. It shows in their play.
