Skinner isnt the only issue the entire club is playing well below the standard. They are lazy embarrasing joke of a hockey club with savoie and roslovic being the only stand outs that have consistently decent games. Weak hockey club with weak leadership

I am an Avalanche fan. When the Avs swept the Oilers in the WCF in 2022 we said that they need to improve their goalie situation and defense. Seems to me that's still the case 3-4 years later. All teams have their weaknesses, but for the Oilers theirs don't seem to be new.
i'm amazed that they went to the finals twice with this level of goaltending and now look like beer average

I can't believe the oilers have so much faith in Ekholm. He's old and slow and gets beat every game by opposing offensive players. Dallas and Colorado made him look totally ineffective.

No not at all but look who we had in front him to make up for that. Move one of those overpaid defenseman and go get a goalie or something. Its great when your defenseman can puck handle and score but the primary job is defense. I feel like NHL teams are forgetting that. Got a team full of high powered scorers and you are ass sitting in last place. Im sorry you can't put all that on goaltending.

The clips they showed while talking about Skinner are all enormous defensive lapses with goals scored from the highest danger area right in front of the net, at least one on a rebound. If the players don't have faith in the goalie, what is it they smoke in that locker room? Prime Roy, Hasek, or Brodeur wouldn't stop these goals.

I've been saying since the stanley cup apprearance in 2024 that they have a goalie problem. Nothing changed last spring and they got the same result. This year, they still have not addressed the problem and get the same results. HELLO??? They need a goalie that will carry the team, like a Patrick Roy or Vaselevsky.
