  1. I don't think Frederic, Roslovic, Walman, Hyman, Mangianpane, and Nugent Hopkins are any slouches for Edmonton either! I think a goalie who can handle big-game pressure, as well as a few trades to shore up Edmonton's defense, would greatly help. I would trade either Bouchard or Nurse as they are both more suitable as offensive defensemen, and both are less reliable on the defensive side of the game. Find a few good quick out and first pass defense, who are hard to play against defensively!

  2. This is not a winning core. How many more years do we need till we figure this out?

  3. The Nucks needed three things to happen this year: Demko to show he is durable, Chytil to show he is a 2C and durable, and EP to show he can put up points—3 goals in 18 games. Team is playing better than the gong show from last year, but this club is doing nowhere. Trade everyone you can except the kids

  4. They have to sign Hughes in next few months. If no interest then blow it up. Get a ton for Hughes. Trade Pete for a 1st. Huge blunder on Demko.

  5. This team is where they r 27th place they're injured players won't make a difference therefore Francesco I know u want to make money but please REBUILD!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Demko's not built for the pro's too injury prone. Try to move him, if you can? Hughes deserves to be on a team like Colorado with players , not all but some, who can play at his level . In my humble opinion, Until Rutherford and Alvin are gone the Canucks will stay middling. Finishing between 15 th and 25th, Since the stands are full and the brand does well is ownership ready to go in a different direction with operations?

  7. Craig pointing out that oilers only have draisitl, mcdavid, roslovic. Bouchard….. and says edmonton is not a good team… so what does that say about the canucks who have quin hughes and no one else lol.

  8. i said it many times before and i'll say it again. canucks should've had lanky / silovs combo. demko is broken goods, he'll never be the same, man is made of glass.

  9. Hughes has already checked out. He’s ready to move on from the Canucks. Seems to be absolutely miserable

  10. SO… to summarize, we traded Miller and Silovs – and signed Demko and Petterson. Knowing full well that EP40 has plateaued over several seasons and Demko has major injury issues.

  11. Time 2 trade Demko when he gets healthy before his new contract kicks in and the Canucks are stuck with another bad contract like Pettersons contract

  12. Where are all the people who wanted Demko to be extended and ridiculed the ideas that Šilovs was supposed to have been given a chance. The management made one bad decision after another and ended up giving away their best goalie in order to keep a goalie they recently signed, and another who has not been healthy for years got a massive extension. I was posting in the offseason that Demko has proven he gets injured and Šilovs has proven for years in all levels of play that he has no ceiling. A young kid can be inserted into lineups at worlds to bring his country first medal ever (against the U.S.), then he gets inserted into NHL playoffs and shows steady play and glimpses of brilliance, then he delivers ungrateful Canucks their first ever trophy in organization’s history for Abbotsford. And all people and the management could focus on was his sub par performance on a small sample of regular season games on a team that was like a burning pig, running towards its inevitable demise. But seeing that the dumpster fire that some call Canucks is still raging, I am overjoyed that Arty is on a team that wants him and believes in him. It really shows. All the postseason Spring Šilovs heroics that he does are well documented year after year after year and this is no ceiling part, this level of high stakes play can’t be taught, and you had a brilliant young goalie who showed up with it every year. The regular season play, that is where the change is the easiest. As I stated in the offseason, Arty needs to be trusted and encouraged, he will do the rest. What happened this season, change of scenery, consistent starts, great team dynamics, coach who believes in him and he is putting up numbers that are leaving Lankinen and Demko far behind.
But to be completely fair, I believe that Vancouver couldn’t provide him with these basics, even this season and that is why I am so happy he is playing for Pittsburgh now.

  13. Nucks Mgmt have made many horrific decisions and need to go. It's pathetic! Letting Horvat go #1 and insulted the guy on the way out while he was an excellent Captain. #2 Signing Petey to an insane contract and believe he is elite and drives play. Laughable. #3. Thinking JT Miller is better than Horvat overall. The list goes on.
