should there be the thought to …. at least install the blow it up button…. on the console of options . if this is a lost season, and you look to next season and what ( nothing NEW to improve the team next year ) so next year you are looking at a year older with talent basically the same ( at best ) to what they were last year. And counting on that year older not affecting the health of the team. It’s always hard to reboot when the team won everything, this team didn’t, but does that still hamper the team from making that move.
Tell me I’m wrong but this is because I’m the reaves move, before you laugh, remember how this team was before he was brought to the team, they became mean, passion, team chemistry was at a high, he gets traded, they have no grit no bite no fighting and everyone is upset

They aren't good. No need to overanalyze the roster sucks
Toronto fans could not wait to get rid of Mitch Marner, be carefull what you wish for you just might get it, and then when you get it, not like it very much. Marner would have made a difference in many of there games. But Marner got ran out of town by the Toronto fans. Remember according to the Toronto fans, Marner was the only problem holding this team down and back.
The Leafs have been seriously lucky for the past decade above all odds as far as injuries go. That's made the 'core four' strategy almost workable. Interesting how terrible they look after the injuries have finally hit.
Just shut down the show until 2033 when leafs have 5 full years of their draft picks under their belt.

Generally not a big fan of the Leafs, but from what I've seen recently is they're playing to not lose instead of playing to win.
Traits of a Stanley Cup winning team…heart, discipline, grit, and leadership. All are lacking for the TML.

If you've followed Berube's updates on Matthews for the last week, it's been a joke. According to Berube, he was going to play Thursday. And then, Saturday. And then, Wednesday. And, nobody knows what's wrong with him. He's always been handled with kid gloves. Never had to make a hard call. Has no idea how to lead. As anything other than a sniper, he's effectively useless. I heard him compared to a pitcher that's lost his fastball……….
Have to respect how hopeful and completely delusional Leafs fans are lol. Entire generations of fans never seeing their team win a cup. There's literally grandparents out there, watching the Leafs with their kids and grandkids. Three generations of fans never seeing the Leafs win a cup. Meanwhile every year they have hope and get disappointed. Respect to all you hopeless fans sticking with that hopeless team.
sick of hearing of injury's with the LAUGHS, ottawa lost there captain in the first 3 games, and they RALLYED. these guys just don't have the want/heart
Could it be an ego problem? On paper the team is much better than on the ice. It's seems to be everyone for them selves.
It’s not complicated! We lost one of the league’s top players and replaced him with 30-40 point guys. He was great on the PP and PK. These guys aren’t. We aren’t deep enough to take that kind of hit.
We scapegoated him and it shows.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Leafs. The ownership group is raking in top dollars for a very mediocre team. Their wet dream is coming true.

This Matthews Leafs team is what the Thornton Sharks were. Amazing regular seasons, choked in the playoffs.
It's so great to see the loafs failing in the regular season, like they always used to. It was so tiring having to listen to all the bullshit throughout the season and having to wait until the playoffs for their annual, CATOSTROPHIC fails!

Domi couldn’t play centre in Montreal and we had less centre depth. He’s never been an NHL centre, I don’t know why the Leafs keep trying this.

I'm not sure needing 5 points with 60 games left to play is where I'd start to panic and give up on the season. To be fair though, I'm not a Leafs fan so I still possess optimism.
After 9 seasons of playoffs the Leafs truly decided to not run it back.

If TO misses the playoffs and drafts McKenna I’d say it’s more of a win for the franchise. They’re not going to do much making the playoffs anyways so getting a franchise player instead seems better to me

The Leafs lost a 90-100 point player, and the lack of depth on the team has been massively exposed as a direct result of this. The lack of depth got exposed during the playoffs year after year, but the problem is showing as the one guy who actually helped prop that team up, left. Marner isn't why the Leafs suck, but at the same time, the Leafs losing him means they may not make playoffs.
‘What’s wrong with the Maple Leafs” ? Perhaps nothing. Have you given any thought to the possibility that they are simply just not a very good team who are playing up to their ability ?
