This Tackle CHANGED The Premier League…

In April 1998, Ole Gunnar Solskjær made one of the most famous red card tackles in Premier League history. Newcastle were clean through, but Ole sacrificed himself with a last-man foul to save Manchester United. A striker taking a red card for defending — the ultimate act of loyalty.

  1. Don't applaud it
    Disgusting tackle.
Called a professional foul, and a straight red for a reason.
    Not seen very often now…thankfully

  2. I think 2 or 3 more he could of got the ball before the box but as a Utd fan since 89 i have much respect

  3. That moment became legendary at the pub. For the game of soccer, it was a disgrace. He could have badly injured the other player, and, by the way, proof that karma always works, they lost the game, and the title, anyway.

  4. Not good sportsmanship, and if you are destined to be a great sportsman, you need both. Dare I say that Bobby Charlton would not have done that?

  5. OGS was a hard core striker when he did this; a defender's job. Let's see if current lot Manchester United's strikers do this sort of thing…

  6. Clearly Utd fan lol, nobody in world off football remembered this and gave a shit about it either, and arsenal won the league Utd went down to 10 men, what exactly was the point of the video lol,

  7. Such a tackle should give the WHOLE CLUB a suspension, not just the player.
It's a foul against the sport itself, not just against one player for just a game win.

  8. That is one proud tackle! Didn't do it behind the back of anyone(complete opposite), didn't hurt anyone. Just a clean swipe. Did his Job to the fullest! The FWD also didn't cry or act cringe. He knew what happened, knew what's gonna happen next.
That was a beautiful time to watch football.

  9. The truth is, he ran much faster and he could have tackled the ball ten meters further down the line without a foul. This narrative is bizarre.

  10. Two more strides and he could have put in a clean tackle. Stupid decision, stupid foul, and earned ManU exactly nothing. Proud moment.

  11. he got his ass kicked by Sir Alex after this tho, said he put shame on the club by the cheap shot. As its not what noble men does

  12. He was tracking back faster than the attacker, looked like he might've been able to make a legit tackle

  13. Backing our criminality because its our team. Fueling the karma cycle.
    Essence of patriotism.
Cheat to win. Philosophy of stolen victories. 😂
This is deeper than you think.
Contrast this with when Leeds let the opposition score.
