Texier is definitely a bandaid no risk solution at this point. If it works out great, if it doesn’t it’s not really a big deal cause he will just chill in the press box or get waived.
Your commentary on Texier is off. The pick up incentive is that they need a depth winger. For him, as he is French…it's an easy town to live in.Â
As a winger he might find a chair. He is not a good center, loses a lot of face offs. He is a strong skater, some skill but his problem is that he is soft.
Engstrom is a great young talent,,,and if he takes, he can supplant several Habs D men. Habs have 3 d men who are terrific people but just Ok on the ice.Â
45 who is small, 47 who is so-so, and 72 who MSL doesn't seem to favor with enough ice time. Hopefully Engstrom will get his chance to bring it. Next year they have Reinbacher to bring up next, from Laval.
