  1. Trading one of our best for an old man, Im out. Listened to about 80 games last year on my phone. All we needed was pitching, needed pitching bad. Now they are breaking up the team. Im not in for it, dont care, Im out.

  2. Thank you 9 for coming to work every day and giving the organization your heart and soul for the past decade. Best of luck in Texas, tell Jacob DeGoat Hi for us. Stearns is now making decisions that could potentially cost him his job if they don’t work out when you trade or lose cornerstone pieces. Winning will make people forget…..Hope that’s the case

  3. Idk how fans continue to root for this team. Cohen has proven to be overmatched when it comes to building a successful team

  4. Mets trading Nimmo to acquire Kyle Tucker for RF and move Juan Soto to LF is suboptimal and a bad idea according to Martino. How is this guy a beat reporter for the Mets? He hates the idea of them being a good team. He wants McNeil in LF–McNeil should be gone.

  5. I wish Brandon and his family the best! I will miss him but I think this move is good for him, playing in an indoor ballpark and getting a new opportunity to play for other baseball fans that will now get to enjoy the best parts of him the way we have.

  6. Nimmo and Alonso both need to be getting DH reps with Soto a couple years away. Makes sense to trade Nimmo, if they are resigning Alonso and signing Tucker (preferably) or Bellinger.

  7. Yeah, whatever. You swapped an aging power hitting outfielder for an even older power hitting outfielder who is already in decline while Nimmo put up career highs. You've added some defense at the position in the name of "run prevention" but sacrificed 10 HR 30 RBI from 2025. I hope Semein doesn't make ONE ERROR all year and throws out 25 guys at the plate to make this worth it. How about PITCHING, Stearns??? Now I hear he's shopping Senga. How about getting a starting PITCHER in here, David? How about RESIGNING PETE!! Nah, instead McLean will go down with elbow inflammation on March 14 and Jonah Tong or Tylor MeGill will start on Opening Day and Stearns will come out with a huge smile after signing 7 more waiver reclamation projects and tell us he's "very optimistic about our depth." Maybe the guy with the Achilles injury and the career 5.00 ERA comes back early and saves our season in August. Some things never change.

  8. I think personally Nemo wanted to leave he felt may be unappreciated especially one Soto caiman came in the mix as a fan distrait don’t make no sense but as a business it Screams that a change is necessary but goddamn why you had to be the most wholesome kid in the world

  9. This one hurts. I understand the philosophy behind trying to improve defensively, but I simply cant get behind this one.

  10. Dont fall in love with LOSERS there’s no loyalty in making friends in baseball! The Mets keep choking and choking I welcome a winner In Marcus Semien!

  11. Too many hurt feelings in the comments about Nimmo trade. He was awful in left field this season and getting worse. Nobody notive that he played with a bum knee and foot. The Mets trade some offense for better defense and dumped that awful contract that Billy Eppler given to Nimmo.

  12. Gelbs, stopppppp with the love affair. Do us Mets fans wanna win or have long time players? I wanna root this team on while they win the world series. Nimmo, thank you, but moving on. Welcome Marcus Semien.

  13. Sincerely, a bad move for the Mets management. The Mets office continuing making “Big Mistakes”, without analyzing carefully.
Mauricio, Acuña or Vientos, are candidates that Mets had to trade before moving Nimmo.
I do prefer trade Juan Soto than Nimmo who has been more effective that Soto or many others Mets in the lineup!

  14. I'm curious if they had gone with Baty as the primary 2nd baseman, if his offense and defense would be comparable or better than Semien's. If the major factor was the contract length, then I get it.

  15. So, the Mets have made the decision to sacrifice offense for defense. It is no secret that Marcus Semien's offense has diminished greatly. However, there is no doubt in my mind that Nimmo waived his no-trade clause as he most likely didn't want to remain with a team who no longer wanted him.

  16. How about getting rid of sterns Alonso should have gotten signed long term, 5 years on his contract lifelong met this guy doesn't want anyone 2b a lifelong met
