On the one hand, resigning him now could save the Canucks some cap money if Sherwood keeps this up. On the other hand, it's a contract year and they could be buying high. At this point, if they can get him to resign long term for under 5, that's probably a win. His closest comparable Canuck wise is Burrows, and Burrows was playing primarily with the Twins and making 4.5 a year if I'm not mistaken. In the early 2010s.
