  1. On the one hand, resigning him now could save the Canucks some cap money if Sherwood keeps this up. On the other hand, it's a contract year and they could be buying high. At this point, if they can get him to resign long term for under 5, that's probably a win. His closest comparable Canuck wise is Burrows, and Burrows was playing primarily with the Twins and making 4.5 a year if I'm not mistaken. In the early 2010s. In 2025, 5 million for Sherwood, a guy who doesn't seem to need to play with elite players to produce and be effective, seems reasonable.

  2. Kiefer is and has always been the best kid and hardest working player. He can’t put anything
    bad in his body. His best years are ahead of him and he will be a Captain and role model for the younger players for years to come.
