  1. a team contemplating a rebuild kicked the canucks around on their home ice. the young guys are giving all they have. the veterans are no shows save a couple of them who don't know any other to play. canucks are not a serious franchise.

  2. We’re in 30th place time for a rebuild we would need to go 38-21 to get 96 points which is probably what will be needed for the wildcard

  3. Can the canucks invest in more review sessions now to get players to understand where they need to be in Foote's system? If all teams are facing a lack of proper on-ice practice time, maybe this off-ice review could help?

  4. Season over. If that's the effort you get for a n easy 2points. it's over. Stop buying tickets…. Stop spending money… They deserve to suffer.

  5. I'm still shocked that fans are blaming the players. Were we born yesterday? Did we actually believe the Canucks with that roster with all the injuries was going to beat teams like Florida or Winnipeg or even Calgary? This is a personnel and depth issue. Yes, ownership is the number 1 culprit, but welcome to corporatism in the 21st century. The last time we had an owner we didn't despise was when the Griffiths family owned the team. Damn Grizzlies.

  7. this team is cooked. we're just watching one of the best franchise talents we've ever had gonna be traded soon. just pull the bandaid off and get it done

  8. Been about 3 seasons where they clearly don’t know what to do with the puck when they’re on a rush, or a Powerplay

    Minimal chemistry, nobody’s in synch

  9. Time to fire JR, Allvin and his 16 assistant gms. Absolutely terrible from signing 11.6, trading for chytil, letting zadorov, walk giving up a 1st for MP when they could've signed him for free, destroying the center depth and defense and are now more than likely to lose hughes because of their incompetence

  10. Trade Hughes. Trade demko, trade anyone over 32 and only keep players 30 yrs old if the have short contracts. Keep young guns gather as many 1st and 2nd round picks as you can. 3 years from now we have a young up and coming team, instead of a patch work team with older slower players just to miss a wildcard spot.

  11. They been in Reverse ever since these two arrived first fired Bruce and started trading and letting the core walk away.

  12. Let's face it — Canucks suck. They are now only one or two spots from being the worst team in the entire NHL, and the worst team in the Pacific Division. Last night's game was a joke. They just showed up because they had to. They have the most over-rated, over-paid player in the NHL in Elias Petterson. His point production this season so far is seriously poor and doesn't look like he will ever get better than this. The lack of production from other players is just as bad. The new Women's Professional Hockey League which debuted the other night with Vancouver Goldeneyes is much better hockey than Canucks. it's far more entertaining and the fans get their money's worth. This Canucks season is all over. No playoffs this year once again.

  13. how many losses will it take for Aquilini and management to realize that it is time to face the truth: a rebuild. Hughes is probably gone and this team is incredibly mid. Without Hughes, I don't think it is possible for management to deny a rebuild anymore

  14. imo, the (crazed) compacted schedule is a big factor in the 'lack of structure' or the 'play w/o puck' J McC mentioned. The lack of practice time just has to be a factor it would seem, surely does make some common sense. Van has got to have had the worst sched so far, even w/o considering the West coast near-isolation factor. Every team gets 3 or 4 really nutty sections of sched, Van's was nutty fr the start.

  15. I hate to say it but just look at the nucleus of many teams in the NHL and you see one or two top Canadian players and a lot of highly skilled European players that look incredible with the puck on their sticks—but can they play defense? can they take the heavy traffic? can they actually check, can they actually play defense when it gets right down to it? NO.WHEN YOU HAVE A TOP 10 CANADIAN CENTER AND A TOP 2d-man you get Colorado Avalanche. You get top 10 centermen in the league and you have McKinnon,Celebrini,Bedard,McDavid ,Scheifele.Canucks need players that are Canucks—as in Canadian.Skip the Euro-floaters like EP40.

  16. I'm seriously doubting Rutherford and Alvin. Giving away Silovs when Demko is a shell of his former self. Bringing in Kane and losing Suter. These are all terrible moves that are hurting the team.
