Despite the fact that the Dallas Stars have made it to the Western Conf Final 3 years running.. and we clearly have the advantage of the AVS in the playoffs, Stars still get no respect. It;s all about Makinnon, Marner, Vegas, Oilers, Panthers, etc etc etc….Casey DeSmith is a number 1 netminder clearly. Better than Otter so far. Rantanen is pissed, Bishel will smash anyone, Robo is on fire…Heiskanen is on fire, Rantanen will get 100 points….our injured players are coming back..were only going to get better Hintz, Johnston, Seguin playing like a young man, Benn is back……Every year AVS HYPE HYPE HYPE
All you people keep hyping AVS and Oilers and hating on the STARS… the playoffs sure will sting you guys this year, can't wait….the Stars with everyone healthy have the best team offense and defense in the NHL

Having our Captain back is huge! Brent Burns is a beast! Nelson is a stud just takes time and look how much having a goalie helps us win games. Wedgewood has been awesome, Blackwood is great as well.
They may have won a cup over the last few years, but this team won’t convince me until they can beat Dallas in the playoffs. It’s almost like Dallas elevates their game just to beat the Avs.
People hype them up every year and they always fizzle out when it matters the most. Regular season record doesn't matter when you can't even get out of first round.

Balckwood and Wedgewood are not Cup Winning Goalies.
This team definitely has the talent to win a couple more cups and they need to considering the core will get older and health breaks aren’t guaranteed.

As someone who has watched nearly every Avalanche game. Wedgewood has deceptively been key in stealing games for the Avalanche this season. Making timely saves on odd man rushes, breakaways and PKs a ton of times.

My cousin who grew up in NC is a big Canes fan and I’m a big Avs fan. We’re both hoping for an Avs – Canes final so we can meet up for a game in each state!

If they make it past the 2nd round…
The biggest weakness is the PP right now.
This team looked just as good last 2 years and completely fizzled out/got straight beat up by Dallas as soon as the physicality ramped up for playoff style hockey.
IMO we’ll see on the avs, I still don’t think they are tough enough yet.
