  1. sneaky, no, there was two teams he was interested in Signing with, MTL and OTT, he chose MTL, nothing to this other than a warm body, he's nothing special!!

  2. What does this mean for the Habs? Texier will be tne new whipping boy in roughly 2 weeks

  3. Jesse nailed it. Have to prevent goals. Montreal has guys that can put the points up . Now we need a littl3 bigger and a little more defensive.

  4. Texier with CBJ had over 2 minutes on PK in some games and up to 30 to 40 seconds of PP occasionally. Potentially useful.

  5. Naysayers expecting us to sign Crosby every two weeks.

Texier is a no risk insurance – can’t call up the whole Laval team without affecting their development.

Texier will either play with Habs or end up in Laval.

  6. Texier is just a depth signing until injury bug subsides, scouts at games, looks like Kent has some fishing lines out, maybe some BIG trade soon. Cheers

  7. They need a better goaltender. Not that the current ones are bad, but an A+ vs a B+ makes the world of a difference not only in goal scored against but in the rest of the team's reliance.

  8. a solid D minus….. A marginal nhler at best. He played 31 nhl games last season & 8 of 22 so far this season. Hes already had to play in Europe for a year not able to secure his spot on Columbus. My guess within a month he will be back on the waiver wire and finish the rest of this season in and out of Laval;s lineup in the AHL….Lets all get excited

  9. This guy has never played a full season. Why are you so excited about him? You all were drooling over Laine and look where that ended up. As soon as the other teams adapted to cover him, he gave up and stopped trying to shoot. Texier better be worth it.
