  1. This team really needs a sniper that with 1 chance from a grade A spot they can score more often then not because like in the tough game against LA the Sens got a lot of chances not consecutively and missed the net more than they hit it from prime spots with no pressure. It has to be a smart move and calculated cause like you guys said the Sens can't afford to take another big swing when the player leaves 1 or 2 years later. I'm in the be patient camp they can't and don't need to rush anything

  2. With how tight all the teams are I don't see any impact nhl players being traded. The Sens will get a huge shot when Brady finally comes back.

  3. Pillsy side. Holding the fort without Tkachuky. They do have some good call ups available on the injury side right?

  4. Sens need to stop always looking for the perfect shot on the PP and just put pucks on net! That will be a lot easier when Brady is back since he's probably our best at screeening, tipping and getting rebounds.

  5. We need a BIG DAWG winger on the 1st line. The team has infinite depth but not a single 40 goal scorer. We need that X factor to just show up and be a part of the team.

  6. I'm with Pillzy on the whole trade market discussion. I still have faith in this team internally especially when Tkachuk is back in the lineup Staios has gotten us Ullmark, Cozens, Spence and Zetterlund. All great players that have made an impact to this team Zetterlund being the least but still think his moment will come at some point. People wanting to get a Top 6 impact player when we have been playing a majority of the season so far without our captain and still doing well lol. We have great depth through our lineup especially down the center with Timmy, Cozens, Pinto & Eller. If anything we would need a left shot defenseman since we got rid of Sebrango cause the right side on D is good we have plenty of players to fill those spots on the right side but I agree I think getting left shot D I'd be down for that. I'd say be patient for now see where the team is at come the new year and we'll have a better idea if we want to make a trade or not

  7. I'm so happy they got aggressive and picked up guenette !! I remember him last time here he made an impact beauty move Stevo, this guy is good, boy o boy talk about being pro-active.

  8. I'm with you Pilsy, we don't have the capital and we are holding our own fine with what we have. No need to sell the farm.

  9. I think the Sens should look to acquire a guy like Charlie Coyle. While mose want a sexy player, they don't need one because they have the players they need already. First move Cozens to the top line with Brady & Timmy – Tkachuk – Stutzle – Cozens – that could be a pretty good line. Next – promote Pinto to the second line along with Greig & Batherson – Greig – Pinto – Batherson – the two best defensive forwards with the guy who needs to work harder on D.
Third – place the three veteran players together – Perron – Coyle – Giroux – all three can score maybe not as much as before but they are still all cagy vets. Fourth – another good vet lineup – Cousins – Eller – Amadio with MacDermid & Hodgson when you need them & as you can see Zetterlund is gone traded for Coyle. Coyle basically replaces Zetterlunf on the roster & IMO will add more pts offensively than Zetterlund has so far & contribute in the playoffs something I doubt Zetterlund will ever do.
Here is a good big young 4th line we could have had – Ostapchuk – Kastelic – Hodgson.

  10. Let's also consider adding or promote Halliday & Yakemchuk to this lineup in mid-February.
    Tkachuk – Stutzle – Cozens
    Halliday – Pinto – Batherson
    Perron – Greig – Giroux
    Cousins – Eller – Amadio
    MacDermid – Lycksell – Hodgson

    Sanderson – Zub
    Chabot – Jensen
    Kleven – Spence/Yakemchuk
    Gilbert – Matinpalo

    Ullmark – Merilainen/Shepard

  11. It would be nice to get another scorer. You add Brady and another guy right now and kaboom. Sens would be hot.

Or you add Brady …..and you bring back Formenton(he doesn't cost anything)!

  12. Thank God we have Pillzy as the voice of reason. The average Sens fan will be upset that we didn’t trade three 3rds and Zetts for McDavid.

  13. Yes you guys should make a move.A top six left wing/center without giving up Pinto,Cozens,Batherson,Stuzle, and Amadio.Greig,Angus Crookshank,Tyler Boucher, and Zetterlund are players that could be moved for a mid six.

  14. Brandon is 100% right, we don’t have the capital. Also hilarious that Ross just called it and the sens traded for Denis Gilbert the next day
