  1. are we really going to pretend that Peterka was not the worst forward defensively?? really??..career high 87 giveaways, never hits, zero toughness..good lord so we lost 27-28 goals big wow..when a player wants out? screw him..I am glad we traded him to a non playoff team

  2. The problem was sabres did not extend jj last summer, so jj had control where he wanted to go because an extension was a prerequisite with the new team. Another gm mishap

  3. I must be crazy because I like this trade for buffalo. Peterka at $8? Sure he's good but $8 million good? Kesselring gives us a partner for power FINALLY. I like doan a lot as well. We keep saying what if peterka takes that next step, well what if doan takes that next step and replaced peterka. We can play what ifs all day but at the end of the day peterka didn't want to be here, we improved our defense, got a young player with good potential. Sure we could have got more but just like zegras, how much are we over valuing peterka? I like the trade, sure it could have been better but I'm thrilled to see kesselring

  4. Damn, I thought you guys would be a calming voice for Sabres fans. This is a straight up excellent trade. I watch Utah and Kesselring is real and Doan will be better than Greenway this season.

  5. If I'm Buffalo I'm making Ekblad a massive offer then your defense is set. Trade Byram and Quinn for draft picks

  6. Happy Buffalo didn't extend. I like Roam's comment. Peterka & Quinn both got into Ruff's doghouse for not playing well defensively or protect the puck.

  7. I don't mind this trade in isolation, especially Kesselring. But with Byram, Quinn, and our 1st we'd better do some heavy lifting in the top six now. Maybe Byram and Rosen for J.Neighbours (complementary LW1)? Quinn, Ostlund, 1.09 for Rossi (shift Kulich to LW2)? Deals subject to tweaks of course. But with those coming next I'd be much happier about the whole process. If we get something meh for Byram, keep 1.09, and re-sign Quinn I'll be much less optimistic. But it certainly feels like at least we should allocate Peterka's $ to Rossi and solidify C. Then look for a well-rounded winger who can hold his own on the top line.

  8. Peterka isn't even worth the 4th pick in the draft…too one-dimensional for almost 8 million price tag…and, why did you expect 'a haul' for him?…other GMs see his obvious faults, so why would they give that much for him…if your 4th line sucks, as you say, you can spend a lot less and make it into a plus for you…if you can get a 15 or 20 goal scorer, one that can play decent defense, then you're a lot better off than you might think…

  9. I hate cry babies that have it made. Good riddens JJ! A power play specialist, and nothing more. JJ and Jeff Skinner same type of Players. We have to find players that play both ends of the ice. I love Kesselring! I would of traded JJ for Kesselring straight up. Good Job Adams!

  10. Okay thats that. Now resign Bo for Dahlin . Seeing Power got his parnter. Big move lets go get Robertson seeing we didnt spend that money on JJ.

  11. Remember when KA's excuse for not using cap space was he needed to sign jj? Oh those were good times

  12. Kesselring has been playing as a top 4 defenseman this past year with Utah, I get not liking the value of the trade but you keep talking about him as a fringe roster player when he got off a season with good metrics playing as a top 4 defenseman

  13. Guys it’s been wildly reported he disliked Buffalo as a city. That’s why he asked out. Buffalo isn’t the meca of North America.

He’s literally Jeff skinner like you guys said.

  14. Listening to this now – you guys were spot on saying if this move is it for the offseason, it’s a gigantic fail.
