Honestly, I’m not surprised. One of the reasons three-peating in sports is so hard is having the right pieces and having enough go your way (execution) to win it all one year is hard enough. Doing it two years in a row when everyone is gunning for you is even harder. Three years? Usually, something happens (injury, core ages, or opponent is constructed to match your team exactly) that throws everything out of wack.
