Demidov should be at the point next to Hudson on the power Play. I can't stand two players behind the net and no one in front.
I’d have brought Beck up over Roy. Roy isn’t NHL material. Why keep giving him a shot. His time is up.
This reminds me of the Carey Price teams. Remember that? Cant score, have to win 2-1 kinda games with Price standing on his head. Problem is…aint got no Price anymore.
On the upside, this is a good test of the team's depth.
Nothing screws up a team's penalty killing unit more than shots and deflections that force them to continuously abandon their defensive positions to chase after the puck so the opponents can't get a hold of it and keep shooting. Passing the puck continuously around the perimeter like the Habs' power play has been doing allows the penalty killers to easily cover open lanes so that there is no lane available to pass the puck to another player so he can shoot the puck at the net. Results? Two 5 on 3 power plays resulting in a total of 2 shots on goal. Slavkovsky needs to get to the front of the net where screens, deflections and rebounds are a goaltender's worst nightmares!
Slaf is a bust. Better accept it now than later.
Get rid of all the injury prone guys. This is a circus.
PP1, park Slaf in front of the net and hammer shots on net.
PP2…same, just Gallagher
And don't double shift Suzuki. Put Davidson on PP2
I heard Kent is wearing is cooking suit and also the hat right now
This was the first I'd heard that Dach is injured again. Not ONE bit surprised, because he's perpetually injured. But this is just underlining the fatal flaw in HuGo's rebuild…they've invested far too much in injury-prone players. We'll NEVER become contenders with this group. Sad.
I know people are excited about Demidov but he has 3 tricks up his sleeve and they've already gotten old. He's great once the opponents defense is in chaos, but otherwise the teams have him covered. Let him mature.
MSL is way too soft with Slaf..Need to turn the screw with i'm
Ya. Removed cuz it’s not working. So what.
We have to stop giving 93 the puck when he’s behind the net. He should be up on the top more so he has more passing options and shooting options. He needs to be told to shoot the puck more. But he needs to be in a place to shoot the puck.
Too many passes not enough shots and no one screening the goalie. This is a PP coaching issue not a player issue. When they were at 50% on the PP Slaf was parked in front of the net not in the stupid "Bumper" position. Going to disagree with Jesse here, Roy is another Laine all shooting skill with no effort. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!
If Slaf isnt in front of the net on PP whole PP goes to shits.
Someone needs to take the line-up card away from MSL.
Is Veleno better than Beck not sure
Monty doesn't know what hes doing..the way he moves.. on instinct…glove hand should be more palm up going upward not stabbing downward at low shots..
Habs can't shoot…looks like a ladies hockey team with constant wrist shots….!
