In 1996-97, we ignited something electric—a black alternate that would become one of the most striking and beloved jerseys in hockey.

Originally worn by Tony Amonte, Chris Chelios, Eric Daze and Denis Savard in the 1990s-2000s, these jerseys defined an era and became a symbol of the grit, strength, commitment and legacy that still holds true to today’s era of Blackhawks hockey.

Now, as we celebrate 100 years of Blackhawks hockey, this iconic sweater returns—not as a throwback, but as a power-up, a visual upgrade that amplifies everything that makes the Blackhawks visually iconic. Under the United Center lights, it’s impossibly cool. In the stands, it’s absolute awe.

This is the jersey that bridged eras. That commanded attention. That generations of fans have been asking us to bring back.

    Finally! This is the best alternate ever. No other alternate ever came remotely close to these. Please don’t get of these right after this season. Keep them around for a little while.

    A gold trim around the crest and white laces from the centennials on the collar would go so hard with this design
