We've had a relatively easy schedule so far, so I wouldn't get too optimistic.

Well we are on pace for about 102 points, for few years now it was enough to get you a divisional seed, while I agree there are teams that might start playing better than us I don't know if there are 3 of them. Panthers, Lightning and who? Ottawa is our level, Bruins are going to fall apart eventually, Montreal is our level, Toronto has some deep issues, Buffalo – well is Buffalo 🙂 so if we keep playing like we did for the first quarter of the season we are more than capable of securing divisional seed . And that Olympic break is important ofc but that could take a high toll on both Florida and Ottawa as their cornerstones in Tkachuks are both going to have tough physical tournament behind them. Plus I think that missing Barkov hurts Panthers more than we imagine. So while yeah ofc we might fear Montreal or Ottawa to go on a heater but realistically there is a sound chance of Detroit getting that top three finish.
