    Just an accident, anybody who played the game or understands it, knows it wasnt intentional, Mayfield tripped Rantanen and maybe should had a 2 min.
    Disallowed goal, hmmmm…it could have been a goal too as Robertson was pushed.
    I think Islanders got a bit lucky this time, but hey, thats the way it goes sometimes.

    What F-ing video are you watching? – If Mayfield hooked him, it should have slowed him down, and Mikko extends his arms on the push. Odds are it was a retaliation move for a hard check on Mikko at some point.

    So glad Rantanen, did not stay with Carolina… he brought a loser attitude with him (on & off) the ice & at the Very end of the day we (the Canes), picked up Stankoven, Taylor Hall, and two 1sts that we used to get K'andre Miller… we also have lots of cap space to get whatever we need this year.

    Two sides to every story…Rantanen is not a dirty player and I obviously don’t think he intended for that to happen. At the same time, you’re responsible for your action. Thankfully, Romanov was not injured seriously as for.Roy hes an emotional guy but had no right yelling at Rantanen you won’t make it through the next game when we play. And the NHL SCREWED up another call reversing the tying goal. Robertson got pushed into the goalie and the goalie like Roy threw a fit. Reffing and the crew in Toronto have been horse shit all season.

    Rantanen should get an award for not crushing the dude. Rantanen was hooked and shoved while his skates were being kicked. He really did a good job trying to regain his balance to scrub speed and not just run him.

    Look at Roy's eyes! One word – intense. His brain operates at Mach 5! He played with that intensity. He coaches with that intensity. He probably sleeps with intensity. There's a positive side of that coin and a negative. When he's on your side you love him and when he's not …

    Agreed Rantanen clipped skates with Mayfield but he does extend his arms in contacting Romanov. Stars are big strong team. Last week Lybushkin was called for tripping similarly close to the boards resulting in a broken ankle for Newhook. Intent? Malicious? No I very much doubt it. Dangerous. Disrespectful. The results speak for themselves.

    Is he fxxxxx blind. Islanders D-man was hoiking Rantanen and there was also collision with skates.
    Rantanen lost his balance and rest is history.

    Roy Obviously is not competent to coach if he represent 80s hockey culture where games went wild sometimes with no reason
