    Hear me out here, trade a combination of the following for Tage Thompson….. Compher, Berggren, Rasmussen( sorry Brian), Gustafsson and Holl as well as , say , a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Do you guys think it would work? Because I honestly think at this point in time it would be a great benefit to get him. Also another player I feel that Detroit would have a good chance of getting for a combination of previously stated players and pics would be Shane Wright. I still think he is an underrated player and very underused by the joke of the front office that is the Seattle Kraken. I asked to God think that Detroit will make the playoffs if they can get the special teams more solidified because they started off really good now they're fizzling out and also if they can like you guys say finish on their opportunities.     Same issue as we have all been observing (at least the knowledgable fans): Yzerman drafting = A. Yzerman FA acquisitions = F. Red Wing draft luck = 0. No trades because all his FA acquisitions have NEGATIVE value in the market. That is we would have to pay for someone to take our cartload of non-skating veteran turds.

    Why is it other organizations have dramatically turned things around in much less time?

    Whomever thought it was a good idea to sign Holl, Hamonic, Compher & JVR, should be working at a McDonalds in Alpena.

    Thge expectations have always been high but the results have been disapointing year after year. I like McClellan a lot but the players just aren't getting it done. Ray L
