A couple of seconds was a definite exhaggeration by Quick to justify his action. It's not a big deal either way, and I'm happy for the picturesque result, but be honest about it.

To an NHL goalie in game mode, 1 second late probably feels like 2 minutes late. Thats a lifetime when you're used to stopping a puck in a fraction of a second.
That's one of those silly rules in hockey that you just don't do. As soon as I saw that nonchalant shot into the net, I knew it would start something. Always does.
I thought the rangers' response was a fairlt mild and appropriate response to a fairly mild shot into the empty net.

Quick left the bench. Suspension? He wants to make excuses. He wants a code… He must be cool accepting a suspension. Pay up salty baby.
We got an epic photo out of it, regardless of the circumstances. It just feels cheap if it's because he wants to cry about a shot at the net as the horn went.
A couple of seconds? Okay Quick. I don't really care, and I enjoyed it. However, if anyone should have got a fine or something, it's Quick. He is the 1st guy who left the bench. He was the guy who initiated everything. Legendary dude, incredibly douchey statement.
