I hope it's accurate to think of the current team (roster) as "the floor" with increasingly better days ahead. The only thing that can derail this process would be for the Islanders GM to give in to sentimentality and start giving contract extensions to players like Pageau & Lee and to continue to put subpar veterans like Cizikas and Tsyplakov in the lineup at the expense of burgeoning young talent ready for their NHL opportunity. This has to be a year of transition away from the past and toward a younger, faster, more exciting modern NHL style

What are your thoughts on Duke?
When do you start trading your players? Certainly not now.
Put Holmström back with Lee & JGP (they were playing great together) and Shabanov with Barzal and Drouin.
The constant obsession with " rebuilding" and trading players is bizarre just relax and enjoy the season.
