tons of respect brodie, but excluding asky, that was the worst hockey this team has played all of 2025. I believe this team can beat anyone if they show up, but they need to be held responsible for bad losses
The Sharks need to address the shots on goal againat and also they need to be shooting the puck more. They were scoring a lot in their first few games. To get shotout really 1 to nothing and allowed almost 40 SOG to the team w the worat record, the Sharks just didn't show up for this game. Skate, use your speed. Forecheck. You can force the other teams to take penalties when they have to chase you or get frustrated retaliating.
Hey Brodie, thanks for the breakdown but I do have one question – is it time to consider a major coaching change, especially for those responsible for the backend? Warsofsky and his team have done a great job overseeing a last place club during the initial parts of the rebuild, but now that this team has the skill to win games, the defensive coaches and maybe even the top guy needs to be evaluated.
Giveaways were acceptable three seasons ago, but here we are in 2025 and it looked like I was watching the Sharks defense from 2022. And this has been a problem even earlier this year, but the team is now talented enough in goal and up front, so it can hide its defensive issues. Orlov and Klingberg were brought in to help mentor Dickenson, but instead they are showing him how not to play. Tonight, the # of breakdowns peaked and were absolutely unacceptable – yikes!!
Defensive structure is not exactly the most exciting part of the game, but for the Sharks to take the next big step forward and not waste the skill of (or burn out) Askarov in net and Celebrini and the guys up front – maybe its time for the Sharks to consider making some changes. Thoughts?
I really don't understand why Dickinson and Muk are held to such high standards and sit for seemingly no reason, yet Klinkberg can make mistake after mistake and still be thrown out there during the 6 on 5. He's absolutely a liability and killed the powerplay but Warso just loves him so much for some reason.
Guys, it was a rough game, but it’s one game. It’s not the end of the season, just gotta have wake-up call kind of games like this to get moving in the right direction again.
Really awful game by everyone except Asky. As others have said, it is just one game. However, Klingberg has been pretty bad. Brutal giveaways, taking lazy penalties and seemingly stifling the 1st power play unit.
I'd like to see Klingberg scratched for the next game and bring back Muk. Orlov seemed to be a better fit on the 1st power play unit and then have Liljegren on the second (maybe give Dickinson some time there)
Sharks need to be better on the defence, it was dreadful in this game. Can’t leave it all to Asky every game. I really hope skinner is okay, as well as Eklund and smith as they both seemed a bit injured too.
I guess since when Drew Remenda made critical remarks about the team a while ago and was soon after an announcer for the Oilers, Brodie doesn't want to get fired. But "If we can get the same level of play from the defense…" as a positive was nonsense. Defensive play was turnover after turnover, punctuated by blindly icing the puck. I understand your situation, Brodie, but dial back the Homer just a tad…
Some people here need to chill. Did you expect the Sharks to win every game this year? Talking about a coaching change this early in the season is ridiculous. Where was everyone during that little run of wins against some monster teams? You are either with this team and riding with us or STFU.
Another message for the Sharks…. Remind the players to ignore POSITIVE social media as much as possible. Yes positive messaging can also damage. On Wed, Sportsnet power ranked the Sharks at 13th!! Don’t let their heads get filled with delusions of grandeur! They’re not there yet…. Maybe by the end of the season! Keep working boys! Let’s Go Sharks!

The Calgary bums, Jesus, wake the fuck up
It’s just so annoying how Warsofsky lets klingberg ruin the team
Grier get rid of some of those "d-men" and let the kids play at least they would give excuses for some bad games ! Klingberg should be retired ….

We’re on to Cincinnati
