The imbalance between the ticky tack hooking and slashing calls, vs other types of penalties that are called very rarely or inconsistently is a problem. It has become low hanging fruit for the refs and often involves subtle barely perceptible plays that have no impact and cause no injury. This isn’t a whine on behalf of VGK, I see it in all games across the league. The refs are often blind to interference, kneeing, questionable hits, stuff behind the play or off the puck etc because they are always focused on these phantom minor stick infractions on the puck carrier.
The addition of Carter Hart should be a goal or 2 a game with fewer goals against in net . Just what Vegas needs .
Kolesar has been pretty invisible compared to last year which was a career year for him. The numbers say he is hitting at the same rate as last year, but I don’t think they have been impactful. One fight, two minors.
Serious question: Do the VGK practice 3 on 3 and shootouts? Our overtimes so far look like a pick up game vs. a serious strategy 3 on 3.
The HSK fans cheered Carter Hart when he was announced. That’s all the feedback needed on signing him. I didn’t hear a single boo or grumble. The dude’s going to do great.
