  1. The injuries were inevitable.
The Canadiens were threading on thin ice the last couple of years dodging injuries !

  2. I gave up on dach along time ago , and he keeps proving me right , kapanen or hage got the 2C on lockdown

  3. Coach, I don’t think MSL has any respect for “garbage goals”. I believe he’s enforcing “textbook” scoring.
After 60 minutes it doesn’t matter if the winning goal was a perfect shot, top shelf, blocker side; or a puck that wasn’t covered by the netminder that trickled out of the scrum across the line.
    Always remember the Gretzky equation.

  4. ..so..compressing 100 games with back to backs has resulted in a constant flow of injuries..expansion plans to Europe etc…complicates safety for the players..N.H.L.P.A.appear to cave to the owners demands…not representing the players is reprehensible..

  5. Except for the huge height difference Kirby Dach with all of his skill and talent reminds of another 'snake bitten' 🐍 😳 player Montreal once had on their team who was very, very talented.

His name was Dickie Moore, 5'10" who played left wing with the Richard brothers (Pocket & Rocket) on that dynasty Stanley Cup team that won 5 in a row and were in the finals every year during the 50's.

Everyone joked that plaster casts were part of Moore's equipment.
He won 2 Art Ross trophies in a row scoring around 40 goals each season. I remember he won one trophy with a plaster around his wrist for a good part of the season.

I think Red Fisher wrote a column about Moore either quoting him or saying that Dickie Moore suffered from brittle bones.

Moore grew up in the depression 1930's where nutritious food was hard to come by as he grew up in childhood.

He retired from Montreal because of recurrent injuries and came out of retirement to play for the Leafs and again he got hurt and retired again. A few years later he came out of retirement and play for St. Louis and played Mtl in the finals.

I can't think of any other player who had such bad luck with health. (Koivu doesn't count cause that's not an injury)
