This team is good. Yes the Hawks are young and very inexperienced but they play with effort and I’ve never seen them played with passion last season. We are over 500 and in mid November isn’t bad for a team that was horrible last season. This season we have structure and we have players who take accountability and a great coaching staff who will help the young players develop. Levshunov,Bedard,Nazar,Moore,Lardis,Frondell who has been amazing and will play in the NHL next season. We have a strong prospect pool and players who want to be part of building a winning culture. Hawks got a very bright future ahead.
I say re-write history with the Defenseman swap so it’s as if Calgary drafted Iginla and then lock into full realism. Coach/scout salaries, no surgical scouting, etc.

Honestly. as frustrating as this was. I felt like the Leafs looked a little better, they put up a fight for once, the defense looked better considering how poorly they were playing earlier.

1:01 It's 5 vs 5 and the Leafs are playing passively around their net like a PK diamond strategy. The puck carrier even falls on his own and is able to get up back on his feet and skate around the zone without anybody ever seriously pressuring at any point. If your team can't take away a puck from a guy falling on his own with 5 defenders on the ice, just forfeit.
