I love how fans can go from "the sky is falling" to "we're so good!" from one game to another. Even a bad team will beat a good team once over the course of a season. This is still a mid tier to lower tier team. They'll still be very lucky to even be in the playoff conversation by the end of the year. A lot of things will have to go their way, especially with Demko out for an extended period. Lankinen has shown he can be solid for stretches, but if he's overworked, he struggles. He's not a workhorse and he'll have to be. And no, they shouldn't have "kept" Silovs. They couldn't have kept Silovs. They had 2 options: get what they got from Pittsburgh or lose him for nothing. You pick.

I've only recently started watching NHL since moving to Vancouver, but it seems our defence is very vulnerable… though compared to previous games, I thought Lankinen was pretty decent this game!
I hear people talking about all the bad bounces and injuries Tampa had in this game. Canucks were without six of their starters for this game and there have been several games where the officiating is so suspect the NHL head of officiating must be wondering what planet they live on. The bounces, how many "bounces" has Vancouver suffered in at least four games this season. Yea, it was like playing pinball out there but the Nucks never quit and after the first they started skating instead of standing around watching. My only observation is, "shoot the fn' puck #40!
