Matthews has never learned how to hit properly. I agree he got hurt on the retaliation. He was only halfway committed. That’s the worst way. Either hit hard or don’t hit.

Matthews would never have gotten back up and tried to retaliate if he was already injured. Doesn't matter how mad you are, professional athletes have a life outside of the sport and they are paid to play – they don't want to be in more pain than necessary or prolong an injury/potentially shorten their career so if he was hurt he would have gone to the bench immediately to make sure it didn't get worse.
I've been saying this for a while… Stolarz is just not that good, he looks good when he has shot blocking d mans that stay around the net to cover up for the numerous rebounds he lets out. Without a guy like Tanev, Stolartz is trash
