Jack Eichel is one of the most dangerous players on the rush but what makes him special isn’t just speed.
It’s his ability to be both wide and dynamic which is a rare combination that allows him to move laterally, attack the middle, and beat defenders without losing stride efficiency.
In this video, Jason breaks down Eichel’s wide-dynamic mechanic, how it works, and how you can train it yourself using two key patterns:
The Corkscrew – controlling your wide stance while staying reactive.
The Edge Dragon – learning to pull the ice instead of pushing, giving you that deceptive, flowing lateral power.
By mastering these two mechanics, you’ll unlock the same movement principles Eichel uses to dominate off the rush and you’ll move smoother, faster, and more unpredictably than ever.

It is wild to me that he is making NHL players fall down with his dekes. 😳🤭🤣
I play against one of your certified coaches. Every time he plays, at least 2 guys will comment on the bench how well he skates.
We were talking during warmup and he does credit you!
