I don't know how you look at the way this team has played and not see that there's something systematically wrong . The way the 5 guys collapse in the D zone and basically giveup the entire perimeter is just not working . They spend their whole time defending while the other team just skates circles around them . They have been outshot almost every game this year and its because of this. They need to add more pressure instead of collapsing ,It puts way too much pressure on the defence and especailly the goaltender ..This is on the coaches imo.
Figure it out.

Sorry, but this team is not constructed well, at all. It's one thing to lose, every team deals with losses, but these guys don't look they are even happy to be on the ice. No chemistry, no trust in each other. This team has no leadership or identity. Nobody in the NHL is afraid to play the Leafs, even when Toronto is at home.

Among all of the negatives, there is one enormous positive to take from this game.
Namely, it looks like the 3rd string goalie can be good.

Outshot 37 to 15. There were no positives. Berube walks out and says the same thing every post game. They get outshot EVERY game. LA didn't play well at all. Hildeby played well. That's the only positive.

This is the 3rd coach that these guys won't play the right way for, time to blow it up.

Austin the hollow man Matthew’s needs to go. Such an empty man , comes across as if he is tired at being at the Leafs. That clip of him trying to motivate the team going around is just sad.

One positive observation they played better without Mathews again.
Means they are capable of playing within a system.
Hildibey wasn't stellar . Soft 1st goal OT winner did not read the play couldn't get across to stop Bayfields goal !
Travares Knie worked well Nylander showed he can make plays also.
